Back in the economic downturn of '08, I found myself a homeless single mom . I not only needed to make money, but I wanted to build a successful business, I needed food on the table for my son and I, but I was exhausted, anxious, disconnected, and felt like an absolute failure.

I used to hustle to build my business the “traditional” way, just like everyone else... Constant networking, chasing leads, feeling like I was always one step behind. I’d pray for guidance, wouldn't hear anything and mostly was trying to make things happen through my own sheer effort.
One day, completely out of the blue, I heard God speak clearly:
“You don’t have to do this alone…leverage yourself and that will allow you to live a life as a shining example to others.”
I had no idea what that meant for my business, but I knew it was God and a boldness came over me.
Aha! I got some Holy Spirit inspiration!
Instead of scrambling to close every deal myself, I asked for help. I was in real estate sales at the time so I approached my broker/boss and said, “I’m building a team! Give me the struggling people– the ones who’ve lost their spark. Let me empower them to succeed.”
I invested my time and energy into those women. The result? Not only did my team flourish, but in my first 100 days, I personally made $100,000 – even in the toughest markets of foreclosures and short sales, and in a town I had just moved to where I knew no one.
By year’s end, I netted just under $500,000 in commissions.
That was God showing me that true success wasn’t about grinding harder. It was about partnering with Him, following His guidance (even when it seemed unconventional)
